About Us

Redes En Acción is translated as “Networks in Action.”

This is particularly relevant to this program because of its focus on developing national and regional networks of partners collaborating in the fight against cancer among Latinos.

In fact, Redes En Acción: The National Latino Cancer Research Network is a National Cancer Institute-funded network of more than 2,000 community leaders, researchers, governmental officials and public advocates dedicated to fighting cancer among Latinos through research, training, and education.

The network is headquartered at the Institute for Health Promotion Research at UT Health San Antonio (Texas), with regional sites in San Francisco, San Diego, Chicago and New York City.
